aPhinity EAB is a pheromone lure that is used as a detection tool. The lure works by attracting males of the Emerald Ash borer species to a trap. The lure will only have an effect on EABs and is not harmful to the environment, humans or pets.

Emerald Ash borer (Agrilus planipennis) is an insect native to Asia, and has been accidentally introduced in North America. It is a green beetle measuring approximately 8.5 to 14.0 mm long and 3.1 to 3.4 mm wide. Although the beetle is not harmful to humans, it is deadly to all species of true ash trees in North America and Europe.
